One Way - One Way One Way, from Detroit, became consistent mid-level hit makers on the R&B charts during the 70s and 80s. In 1976 Al hudson formed the soul partners with four other Detroit musicians, Kevin Mccord (bassist), Cortez Harris (guitarist), Jack Hall (pianist) and Theodore Dutley jr (drummer). The released in 1977 their debut elpee 'Especially for you'. Under the name Al Hudson and the Partners they released in 1979 the track 'You Can Do it' with lead vocalist Alicia Myers.

In 1980 they changed their name to 'One Way' and made some personnel changes. In 1980 they had some modest hits with 'Music' and 'Do your thang'. In 1981 'Push' became a big r&b hit. They released other great slamming funk tracks in the early and mid eighties like 'Cutie Pie', 'Mr. Groove'. After the funky years the worked with Deodato and released the tracks 'You better quit', and 'Don't think about it'.

This album from 1980 contains slamming funky tracks as well slow soul tunes. Myself was lookin' for this album for many years till finally vinyl-masterpiece from the Netherlands reissued it on CD. Many thanks for that.
